From Property Management to Environmental Leadership
From Property Management to Environmental Leadership: My Journey to Redline Environmental
A Career Built on Grit, Experience, and Community
For more than 20 years, I’ve worked in construction, environmental safety, project management, and operations. Every role — from coordinating crews to managing compliance — quietly prepared me for the work I do today. Redline Environmental wasn’t a sudden idea; it was the natural next step in a long career built on hard work, mentorship, and a commitment to doing things the right way.
Early Career: Learning to Lead While Raising a Family
My professional journey began in Yakima, Washington, in property management. At the time, I was a single mother of two young boys, balancing demanding responsibilities at work with the realities of raising a family on my own.
Those years shaped all three of us.
My sons grew up watching me work hard, stay accountable, and show up even when life was difficult. Today, one is an HVAC technician and the other works in logistics — both careers that require discipline, reliability, and a strong work ethic. They didn’t just hear those values from me; they lived alongside them.
And for me, those early roles taught the foundations of operations: organizing chaos, communicating clearly, and keeping large teams moving in the same direction.
Stepping Into Construction: 15 Years of Growth and Responsibility
After property management, I transitioned into construction — and stayed for more than 15 years. I worked in roles that demanded precision, accountability, and constant problem‑solving. I managed contracts, coordinated logistics, developed safety programs, published proposals, supported owners, and kept projects on schedule.
One line from my resume captures this era perfectly:
“Responsible for coordinating all project personnel to meet deadlines and achieve maximum efficiency.”
That sentence reflects not just my work, but my nature.
Corporate Operations: Managing Projects Across the Country
My career eventually took me to Las Vegas, where I worked for Boyd Gaming Construction & Design. I coordinated work across 22 hospitality and gaming properties nationwide, tracked timelines, managed procurement, and supported project managers at a corporate level.
It was fast-paced, demanding, and transformative. I learned how to operate at scale — and how to stay calm when the stakes were high.
Returning to the Northwest: Discovering My Environmental Calling
Back in the Pacific Northwest, I stepped into environmental work — specifically lead and asbestos abatement. At Rose City Contracting, I moved quickly through three promotions, eventually handling project sales and operations. I processed more than 1,200 projects in a single year, managed regulatory notifications, coordinated equipment and fleet logistics, and kept projects moving without costly delays.
This is where I discovered something important:
I wasn’t just good at operations. I was good at environmental compliance, risk assessment, and protecting people’s health and safety.
That realization changed the direction of my career.
Launching Redline Environmental
In 2020, I founded Redline Environmental — a company built on integrity, accuracy, and genuine care for the people and communities we serve.
Today, I perform AHERA inspections, lead risk assessments, quality assurance, accounting, marketing, and every other part of running a business. It’s a lot — but it’s exactly what my career prepared me for.
Every job, every project, every regulatory hurdle, every mentor who invested in me… it all led here.
What Guides My Work Today
Redline Environmental is rooted in:
Integrity
Clear communication
Accurate reporting
Respect for regulations and safety
A commitment to helping people make informed decisions
I didn’t build this business alone. I built it with the guidance of mentors who taught me the construction industry inside and out — people who challenged me, supported me, and expected me to rise to the occasion. I showed grit and worked hard for every opportunity, and I carry those lessons into every inspection and every customer interaction.
Serving the Pacific Northwest With Experience You Can Trust
Redline Environmental exists because safe homes, safe buildings, and safe communities matter. My career has been long, varied, and full of learning — and every step has shaped the way I serve my clients today.
